CAR PARK – LATEST

LLanfoist Hall Access Project update

The access improvement project has been completed and the car park is now open.

Pedestrian paths are now safer. with protective bollards. This is to prevent parking on paths designed to provide a safe smooth pathway to the hall for all, especially those with disabilities and children. Disabled parking bays have been clearly identified. Also a no parking area marked to provide access for emergency vehicles if needed. Please respect all  of the external areas as these have been improved and redesigned to provide full access to the hall for everyone. The lighting has also been improved with the installation of new low energy LED lights. There is an overflow parking area, please do not park in front of the access to this area.

The Charity Trustees, officers and volunteers operating Llanfoist Village Hall thank Welsh Government and the people of Wales for part funding the project. The remaining funding has been achieved by careful management of the hall over many years.

CAR PARK NEWS

Work starts on our external access improvement project 11th August and will continue for up to 8 weeks. For this period there will be no car access however there is pedestrian access via the side gate. Unfortunately the footpath is not suitable for wheelchair users however once the project is completed access for everyone will be much improved.

The hall will be open during this period and many regular classes will continue, see our website calendar. By kind permission of Abergavenny Garden Centre we can offer parking a short walk away at the garden centre.

The project is largely funded by a grant from The Welsh Government’s Facilities Programme. The remaining funding comes from LLanfoist Village Hall Registered Charity through funds raised over a number of years of prudent management of the halls facilities.
